Typeform
Forms and surveys people actually finish.
Overview
Typeform is the form builder that asks one question at a time. That conversational format, with logic jumps, media and a polished design, is why completion rates are its main selling point. It covers surveys, quizzes, lead forms and intake questionnaires, and pushes responses to sheets, CRMs and automation tools.
Where it fits in my work
Two jobs. First, intake: when a new client project starts, a well-built questionnaire collects the brief — goals, audience, examples they like, what exists today — before the kickoff, so the call is about decisions rather than data. Second, research: a short survey to real users after a launch, with logic that asks follow-ups only when they matter. Responses land in Notion or a sheet via n8n , and the summary goes into the project in Basecamp . For a plain contact form on a site, I build the form myself — this site's contact and quote pages are custom — because a native form is faster and free.
Key features
One-question-at-a-time forms with logic jumps, branching and calculations Quizzes, lead scoring and hidden fields for attribution Payments, file uploads, signatures and scheduling blocks Integrations with HubSpot, Mailchimp, Slack, Notion, Zapier and webhooks Brand kits, themes and embed options Typeform for Growth — routing, enrichment and B2B qualification
Best for
Teams whose forms need to convert — research, lead capture, onboarding — and who will use the logic and integrations. If you need a five-field form, Typeform's per-response pricing is the wrong shape; a native form or a free tool will do.
Where it fits in my stack
Typeform → n8n to route responses, Notion for analysis, HubSpot or Klaviyo when a response should become a contact.
Pros
Highest completion rates of any form tool I have used Logic and hidden fields make real research and qualification possible Polished out of the box — it looks like your brand made it Wide integration coverage
Limitations
Priced by monthly responses — busy months get expensive fast Free plan caps at 100 responses a month Overkill for simple contact forms Some advanced features sit only on higher plans
Pricing
As listed on typeform.com/pricing: a Free plan with 100 responses a month; Basic at $29 a month ($25 annually) with 100 responses; Plus at $59 ($50 annually) with 1,000; Business at $99 ($83 annually) with 10,000; Growth Flow at $349 ($266 annually) and Talent at $169 ($119 annually) for specific use cases; Enterprise on request. Annual billing saves about 30%. Check the official pricing page .
Verdict
Typeform is worth it when a form's completion rate is the metric — intake and research, in my case. For everything else, a simpler form is cheaper and just as good.
